Yesterday I wrote that NASA and CERN, the European Center for Nuclear Research, said that the world will not end in 2012… So, we all gave a sigh of relief. I mean, they must know. Right? Good.
Now that NASA has assured us that we’ll be safe in 2012 let’s look at what’s hot in the today’s news.
Google Trends didn’t have any natural disasters to report on which is good. Instead, Google Trends said that searches for sarah palin newsweek had a Hotness rating of “Spicy” and it gave a list of related searches. (I’m not making this up!) Here are the related searches:

NASA says No. What did you expect them to say? In today’s New York Times essay Is Doomsday Coming? Perhaps, but Not in 2012 Dennis Overbye reports that NASA and CERN, the European Center for Nuclear Research are telling us not to worry.
As NASA and CERN try to calm the masses saying it’s just a nightmare the masses are searching for answers in other places – movie theaters and Google.
As you look at Google search trends in the graph below, it’s obvious that there are a lot of people worrying about the end of the world. Some part of the word are more concerned than others. But, first…
